Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret plans, forms, and layout drawings; follow grade stakes and stringlines.
  • Set, brace, and dismantle forms and formwork for slabs, footings, curbs, sidewalks, driveways, and other structures.
  • Mix, pour, place, and spread concrete by hand and machine; operate concrete pumps, mixers, screeds, floats, and trowels.
  • Screed, float, trowel, broom-finish, and apply specialty finishes (exposed aggregate, stamped, colored, decorative overlays).
  • Install and tie rebar, wire mesh, dowels, and anchors; place control and expansion joints.
  • Perform finishing, edging, grooving, and sealing; cure concrete and apply curing compounds.
  • Repair and patch existing concrete; perform saw-cutting and grinding as needed.
  • Operate small equipment and attachments safely (mini-excavator, skid steer, power trowel, plate compactors).
  • Maintain tools and equipment; stage materials and maintain clean, organized work area.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years proven experience as a concrete finisher/worker on commercial and/or residential projects.
  • Strong knowledge of concrete materials, mix designs, curing methods, and finishing techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints, take measurements, and use leveling tools.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials, work outdoors in varied weather, and perform repetitive tasks.
