Job Description

Office Assistant needed to provide organization and preparation of all office related functions and to serve as the first line of communication for telephone inquires.


  • Answer incoming phone calls, providing information as needed and taking messages for organization personnel
  • Invoicing and vendor interactions
  • Maintain filing per company policy
  • Dictation, letter writing, proof reading and document preparation
  • Insure proper and completed paperwork to accompany all shipments and traceable to accurate documentation
  • Data entry as needed utilizing industry specific software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • General computer maintenance
  • Perform other assigned duties, responsibilities and tasks as assigned



  • Two years previous office experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks experience with the ability to learn industry specific software as needed
  • Typing skills capable of 40 wpm with accuracy
  • Organized, detail oriented and able to work independently
  • Previous experience with a company involved in government contracts either as a prime contractor or subcontractor, and/or a company certified as ISO 9000 compliant is bonus
  • Work to be performed in an office environment with extended periods of time of sitting and computer work
