General Expectations

  • Supervise and maintain a safe and clean project, Enforce PPE for crew
  • Review and understand complete project scope, documents, plans, specifications & standards
  • Assist PM to inspect and ensure quality workmanship per industry standards & contract documents
  • Manage job site general conditions.
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with GC and Client.
  • Maintain positive work environment and team player attitude
  • Cultivate a positive safety culture by demonstrating safe practices and holding crew accountable
  • Report all accidents and near-miss immediately of incident to direct supervisor & HR

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Hold pre-construction start up meeting onsite with PM and GC/Architect before job starts
  • Hold weekly safety meeting for crew and ensure subcontractors hold weekly safety meetings
  • Develop and maintain a deficiency log for each project
  • Perform weekly safety inspections
  • Ensure all construction is built per the contract, plans, and specifications
  • Coordinate with PM and Foreman all project issues, changes, notices, change order requests, RFIs, etc.
  • Prepare daily report of all activities, workers, inspections, etc. with photos.
  • Communicate daily with PM to discuss progress and goals per 3-week look ahead
  • Timely ordering of job material and coordination of deliveries.
  • Ensure company equipment, vehicles, and tools are clean, maintained, utilized properly
  • Call off equipment when no longer needed
  • Maintain As-Builts
  • Ensure GC signs T and M and material delivery tickets and note descriptions or cost code of what each item is as required
  • Manage time codes and timecards
  • Know approved/denied submittals for all materials-maintain submittal binder on site
  • Never leave jobsite without a lead or foreman in charge
  • Enforce company standard attire – hats, sleeves, boots, glasses, etc. with crew
  • Complete all items on punch list with 14 days
  • Report any problems or disputes between crew to Operations Manager
  • Arrive earlier than crew to prepare for the day
