Job Duties:

  • Perform inspections on machinery.
  • Troubleshoot projectile performance issues.
  • Evaluate test results for compliance.
  • Oversee machine maintenance and resolve technical issues.
  • Monitor inventories and report shortages.
  • Oversee the manufacturing process for brass and bullets.
  • Supervise packagers and inspectors in the Ballistics department.
  • Provide training to junior machine operators.
  • Directly supervise approximately 5 packagers and inspectors in the Ballistics Department.
  • All other job duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in ballistics and explosive testing, priming of small firearms ammunition, and quality control required.
  • Strong understanding of firearm mechanics, ammunition components, and ballistic behavior.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex ballistic or mechanical issues.
  • Strong adherence to safety protocols, especially involving firearms, live ammunition, and controlled testing environments.
  • Background check and drug screen required upon offer of employment.
