Maintain accurate inventories, execute pertinent transactions and service all departments needing inventoried items. Receive, document, label and transport all incoming materials. Prepare documents and materials for shipping. Responsible for selecting freight carriers and monitoring their integrity as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Departmental: • Read, Understand and Follow all applicable State and Federal Regulations and Company policies and procedures. • Inventory o Monitor and Maintain inventory levels. o Conduct inventory cycle counts. o Monitors and reports inventory discrepancies to Warehouse Supervisor. o Utilize FIFO of materials unless otherwise requested. o Maintain high standards of inventory, lot number control, lot accountability and lot integrity. o Utilize warehouse space efficiently. o Locate and stage materials per request/ priority. o Kit/ assemble materials for Manufacturing Orders, special projects, shipping, etc. o Document on paperwork and execute transactions in the computer against material issued, received and returned. o Ensure all materials are clearly identified. o Lift and move materials 50 lbs – 100 lbs. o Notify the Warehouse Supervisor of material shortages prior to staging. o Notify the Warehouse Supervisor of material variances on MO’s. • Shipping/Receiving o Receive delivered materials following established procedures. o Work with Warehouse Supervisor on assessing and selecting freight carriers. o Monitor freight carrier’s integrity. o Track and Expedite outgoing shipments when necessary. o Responsible for loading and assisting in the unloading of freight carriers. o Transport incoming goods to their proper locations. o Lift and move materials 50 lbs – 100 lbs. o Prepare all outgoing goods for shipping. o Schedule outgoing shipments with freight carriers as necessary. o Responsible for maintaining and updating Shipping and Receiving Clerk Standard Operating Procedures. o Responsible for advising Warehouse Supervisor of problematic shipping and receiving issues and suggesting solutions for those issues. o Responsible for counting and computer entry of production receipts of finished manufacturing orders.
